| July 30, 2008 - Bisbee's East Cape Starts with a Winner! |
Bisbee's East Cape Offshore Tournament kicked off yesterday afternoon and already we have a winner! Andrew Hughes from Lomita, CA fishing onboard Mi Corazon won the Early Bird Drawing and will get his entry fee back in cash! Andrew sent in his entry in April and tripled his chances to win. Mi Corazon has also won in the past—in 2006 they won 1st Place and over $150,000 with a 418.0 lb. blue marlin. Congratulations Mi Corazon!
Fifty-six teams headed out this morning to compete for over $310,000. Of special note, one of the teams is truly international with anglers from Portugal, Switzerland, the Ivory Coast, France and Mexico! We hope to see them back in October to compete in the new International Angling Club Championship! |
| July 28, 2008 - Bisbee's Adds International Division |
 We've added a new division to the Black & Blue—the Bisbee's International Angling Club Championship (IACC). This division was created to celebrate the growing number of international teams that attend the Black & Blue. And to be sure it got off to right start, we recruited Jim Brown, formerly of the International Game Fish Association (IGFA), as Coordinator.
